Explore the coastal mangrove ecosystem on a 1-kilometer (0.6-mile) raised wooden pathway.
After visiting the monkeys in the main forest, your guide will take you to the mangrove ecosystem. The boardwalk raises you safely above the mud and tidal salt marshes.
This area is exposed to the sun, so wear a hat and sunscreen. Remember that walking in this zone without an official park guide is prohibited.

This elevated walkway stretches over salt marshes and tangled mangrove roots just south of the main forest. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to complete the loop. Look down into the mud to spot mudskippers and scurrying crabs. Keep noise to a minimum to avoid disturbing the wildlife.
