This small educational area features information boards explaining the 50-square-kilometer UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Exhibits detail the biology of the red colobus monkeys and local conservation efforts. Take a few minutes to read up on the elusive and likely extinct Zanzibar leopard. This predator still holds a mythical status in local folklore.

Small stalls run by local villagers sit near the main gate. Vendors sell hand-carved items, colorful fabrics, and park souvenirs. Bring small bills in USD or TZS if you plan to shop. Purchasing souvenirs here directly supports the surrounding communities that co-manage the park.
